Greenwich Chaplaincy Services was founded in 1968 by the Greenwich Fellowship of Clergy to provide spiritual care to the residents, staff and families of Greenwich's senior care centers. GCS provides worship services, Bible studies, discussion groups, personal visitation and personal counseling, serving a variety of religious traditions as well as those who have no religious affiliation. GCS partners with seven senior care facilities in Greenwich with the goal of helping those facilities become more vibrant and effective in serving seniors. We have full-time, part-time and volunteer chaplains providing services in the following facilities: Fairview of Greenwich Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, The Greens at Greenwich Assisted Living Residence, Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, River House Adult Day Center, The Mews Senior Residence, Nathaniel Witherell's Short-Term Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and Parsonage Cottage Senior Residence.

The most valuable contribution the Chaplaincy Service provides to this population is that our chaplains bring joy to the seniors of Greenwich. Our medical colleagues provide excellent health care, and social work and recreation professionals provide for seniors' personal and social lives. Our chaplains strive to nurture the souls and spirits of our seniors by bringing them joy.
