Vision for the Future

First, we need to expand our hours in certain facilities so we can be more effective in creating a richer sense of community. Each of these facilities is a congregation, a community with its own culture and rhythms. The healthier and stronger the bonds are among residents, their families and staff, the more joyful the community. This is simply a matter of raising more money to give chaplains more hours, and hire new ones. Second, we eventually need to move into providing chaplain services in the homes of seniors. The whole direction of senior care is toward finding ways for them to stay in their homes. Of course, this increases the potential for isolation. Providing in-home chaplain care is also largely a function of financial support.
