Our Ministry
Our chaplains are all professionals trained in Clinical Pastoral Education, with many decades of experience between us.
For some, we provide worship and liturgy. With others, we have earnest conversations about what is happening to them, what it means, and what is most important now. Sometimes we sing, sometimes we pray, and sometimes we simply sit with someone, bearing witness to what they are experiencing. People have told us that the most important thing we do is show up, without an agenda, and pay attention.
Operating at The Nathaniel Witherell, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Greenwich, our chaplains are fully integrated into the healthcare team. We work closely with other care team professionals, the residents, patients, and their loved ones, to provide thoughtful and meaningful spiritual care.
We also coordinate with community clergy and volunteers who bring prayer and sacramental ministries to the facilities, as well as deepen community connections.
